Downtown Grand Rapids Workspace Project Featured in Great Lakes By Design Magazine

The recently published Great Lakes By Design magazine article, “Sense of Place”, beautifully captures the intentionality behind the design of our Downtown Grand Rapids Workspace building – a renovation project that repositioned a formerly granite-and-concrete building into a dynamic workplace for the client and reconnecting with the downtown community. The interior balances residential and more formal design elements, all tied together through architectural elements, a cohesive finish palette, and subtle branded storytelling. Additionally, the article celebrates the project’s extensive collaboration and partnership with geniant + Eastlake Studio, Rockford Construction, as well as several other consultants and teammates.

“The technical challenges of the structure and architecture of the building coupled with working on a tight downtown site were sizable. We had fantastic consultants and teammates we worked with.” – Peter Baldwin, President of AMDG Architects
