About Speaker

John Lowery is the founder and president/CEO of Applied Imaging, one of the USA’s largest and most successful office technology dealerships. Now in its 32nd year, Applied Imaging has grown to $100M in revenue including 11 locations throughout Michigan and over 400 employees. At the beginning of 2017, the company moved into their new 63,000 square foot Grand Rapids headquarters.

Through it all, John has earned the respect from both his industry’s manufacturer representatives and his fellow dealers. He is a past president of the Copier Dealers Association (CDA), an organization boasting the country’s top independent dealers from practically every market in the United States.

John understands that the success of Applied Imaging is built through the organization and team, so he has created a work environment where people feel energized, enabled, and engaged, resulting in an exceptional customer experience. John’s leadership style allows him to be approachable, present, and available, allowing his team to be unified behind his vision. He recognizes that Applied Imaging is more than a successful company; it is a company that makes a difference in the community. To illustrate, he encourages and allows employees to use company time to volunteer at local organizations.

John has been quoted as saying, “The biggest break he got in life was meeting and marrying his wife, Sandy”. They’ve now been married for over 42 years, have two sons and a daughter, and 10 grandchildren all attending Immaculate Heart of Mary parish and school.
