AMDG Gives back by supporting the Grand Rapids Center for Community Transformation

Undoubtedly, 2020 has been a year like none other. Through it all, we are more grateful than ever to our client, design, and construction partners for the opportunity to continue to work together in new ways.

Reflecting on the upcoming holiday season, the AMDG team expressed our gratitude by investing back into the community. Blessed with a sunny fall day, we partnered with the Grand Rapids Center for Community Transformation (GRCCT) volunteering in various projects supporting our local neighbors. Groups participated in everything from gardening and landscaping to warehouse cleanup and stair repairs. A heartfelt “thank you” goes out to the team at GRCCT for their work throughout the year and for allowing us to lend a hand.

GRCCT was founded in 2015 when their partner, Bethany Christian Services, recognized a need within the community to teach important life skills to the youth of low-income families and those aging out of the foster care system. They provide GED/HS completion courses, vocational training, employment skills, mentorship, housing support, trauma-informed development workshops, and a community basketball league. GRCCT supports about 456 students each year and to date, 99 students have earned their GED since GRCCT was founded!

Wishing a safe and happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
