Grand Rapids Public Creston High School Student Cafe Center

Creston High School’s cafeteria was an uninspiring space where students simply ate their lunches. AMDG took this space and transformed it into a café and commons where students and teachers could gather, present, learn, teach, and meet in small or large groups. The new dining and commons facility serves approximately 800 high school students. AMDG also realized the opportunity the adjacent outdoor plaza offered the café and worked with the school to renovate.

Food service facility included replacement of the entire kitchen including walk-in cooler and freezer, hood, and prep equipment and design of three separate straight line style serving areas. JRA Food Service Consultants’ role included initial programing, schematic design, design development, CDs, CA, and project closeout.
