Concierge Physician Practice
A concierge approach to patient care puts a premium on patient convenience, comfort and wellness. The design of this warm and inviting suite creates a calm spa-like experience to ease natural patient tensions. Special attention to detail, a sophisticated color palette, residential furnishings and soft accent lighting achieve a relaxed and soothing setting to deliver patient centered healthcare.
Personal Care
This innovative physician group wanted to make a dramatic move away from a generic institutional patient experience to a highly personalized patient-focused practice.
To keep patients from feeling like just another number, AMDG controlled the scale and flow of this internal medicine practice, lending to a more one-on-one approach to the doctor-patient relationship. Staff welcomes patients in an open setting at an inviting entry point. Immediately to the left, guests briefly wait to be escorted to a room around the corner. No separative sliding glass windows at check-in, no calling systems, no long white halls, and no vital stats in a plastic chair squeezed in the corridor. The small scale, openness, and patient-centered flow of the overall suite naturally give patient guests a face with a name instead of a name with a number.
Comfortable Care
MMPC wanted to provide patients with a relaxed atmosphere inviting them into a positive healthcare experience rather than alienating them from it. The physical environment was envisioned to reinforce a casual and friendly “concierge” experience.
From check-in to check-out, AMDG responded to MMPC’s desire for comfort in some boldly creative and remarkably nontraditional ways. To help MMPC move away from a typical cold and uncomfortable waiting-room experience, AMDG integrated living-room elements including residential furnishings, ambient lighting and even a cozy fireplace. Exam rooms feel more like a den at home with custom maple cabinets, a soft sitting couch and carpeted floors that keep bare feet warm. A powder room, patient shower and terry-cloth robes are spa-like features that allow patients to completely relax as they receive personalized attention and modern healthcare service.
