Shawnee Park
Christian Reformed Church required an expanded educational wing to
accommodate ministry programs. The addition includes nursery, multi-purpose
and fellowship spaces, restrooms and an elevator. A new nursery pick-up
entry was also added. The addition utilizes a curved wall to the west of the
existing building to organize both circulation from the sanctuary and entry
at the new fellowship hall. A variety of sizes of the spaces in the addition
allows for flexibility of use. The design solution attempts to preserve the
architectural character of the existing structure while negotiating a
sloping site. |
