| The addition responds to the client's desire to upgrade the image of the building and to unify the image of the office and manufacturing plant. The multi-purpose portion of the addition also expanded the amenities the client provides to employees, which includes a cardiovascular fitness area, a locker room, showers, and an expanded cafeteria. The plan of the addition allowed for reorganization of the engineering teams. A design-build relationship between the architect and general contractor afforded architectural expression within the parameters of a fixed budget. |
