Local residents desired recreation elements added to their backyard so their children could stay in the neighborhood. The goal was to create a yard that was kid-friendly but also suitable for entertaining. AMDG coordinated with surfacers, landscapers, and pool engineers to give the family a hot tub, pool, pool house and basketball court. The pool house was designed with a second-floor porch big enough to hold a giant telescope for the familyís space enthusiast. This project required an extensive zoning presentation to the city commissioners to receive a zoning variance for the pool house. It was also a challenge to fit everything in the tight space and to design a layout that would be acceptable to neighbors with bordering yards.
