| MVP Sportsplex desired to develop a world-class fitness and aquatic center prototype with a timeless collegiate aesthetic. This goal was realized through a design partnership between Ohlson Lavoie Collaborative, a leading worldwide fitness facility designer, and AMDG. Challenges faced were the restrictive site and planning collaboration with a neighborhood condominium association to minimize its impact on their lifestyle while maintaining a high profile on a busy street corner. Athletic components included a 25 meter lap pool, warm water therapy/exercise pool, locker rooms, spas, steam rooms, gymnasium, kid's play and recreational area, lobby and coffee center, six tennis courts, fitness areas with state-of-the-art technogym equipment, multi-purpose rooms, and an outdoor aquatics area complete with kid's pool, slides, lap pool, deck area and pavilion! |
