Having outgrown
their existing space, this group of six physicians had two goals for their
new suite. The first was to increase the efficiency of their operation. The
second was to simplify patient flow through the suite. The solution provides
three clinical pods, each containing a nurses' station, scheduler, lab and
physician dictation station. The pod arrangement allows each physician to
work closely with his or her support team and to have nearby all the
necessary support functions. The linear patient flow through the suite
reduces patient confusion and improves the patient's experience. The suite
also contains a radiology room as well as the necessary administrative
support spaces. |
