 Experiencing dynamic growth and a rising need for hospital space, Spectrum Health Hospital decided to combine the Endoscopy units from their East and Downtown campuses to create a new outpatient Endoscopy Center. AMDG assisted Spectrum Health in studying Endoscopy Centers throughout the Midwest in order to provide Grand Rapids and the surrounding areas with a state-of-the-art facility. AMDG worked closely with Spectrum to navigate the extensive regulatory and submittal processes required by the State Licensing Bureau and by the Certificate of Need process. AMDG and Spectrum Health endeavored to deliver a non-institutional, non-threatening, patient friendly environment featuring smooth patient flow between prep, surgery and recovery.
