A candy and nut company wanted to consolidate all of its functions on one site: manufacturing, warehouse and shipping, corporate offices and retail store. This project posed a number of unique challenges. The manufacturing and warehouse portions of the project needed to meet stringent cooling and humidity requirements for chocolate and nut manufacturing and storage. It was also very important to time the different elements of the project in such a way that the company's business cycle would not be compromised. The owner desired exposed construction and a building layout that would provide opportunities for interaction between the office, warehouse and manufacturing staff. The site and building were coordinated to serve a variety of customers including individuals retail, corporate and fundraising groups.
