Home Repair
Services, a non-profit organization that assists low income homeowners in
maintaining their homes, renovated and expanded the former Mulvihill
Oldsmobile Dealership in order to consolidate their administrative offices,
service functions, warehouse and retail sales into one facility. The
art-deco style of the existing building is carried through the addition,
giving the building a fresh, new look while preserving the distinctive
features of the original design. Transforming the dilapidated building from
a vacant eyesore into an eye-catching neighborhood centerpiece meshes well
with HRS' mission of restoring and maintaining older neighborhoods. The
project was awarded first place for Best Exterior Renovation from the
Neighborhood Business Alliance. |
