Looking to expand
their business and relocate to the east end of 28th Street, Duthler Ford
acquired the former Home Quarters building. The challenge: transform a
single function 118,000 square foot "big box store" into a multi-faceted
automobile dealership that is both intimate and vital. Careful planning
created space for the showroom and accompanying office spaces, a large
inside vehicle display area, expanded service and parts department, body
shop, and a future Quick-Lane service area. AMDG worked closely with
contractor DVK Construction to stay within the owner's tight construction
budget. The solution incorporates major elements of Ford Motor Company's
prototype dealership design and provides Duthler Ford with a spacious and
attractive "state of the art" automobile dealership.
