One of the oldest
existing structures in downtown Saugatuck, Michigan, this building required
substantial structural reinforcement and leveling and a complete interior
renovation. Working closely with the Saugatuck Historic District Commission,
A.M.D.G. Architects, along with DVK Construction, opened up the main level
for an ice cream / retail shoppe and art gallery. The upper level residence
was renovated and given a new front deck while maintaining the historic
character of the existing building.
